About: The Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber was established on January 1, 2010, as the merged organization of the Cranberry Area Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Allegheny County Chamber of Commerce. As the leading regional voice and advocate for business growth and economic prosperity for more than 1,000 organizations who employ nearly 24,000 employees spanning Allegheny, Beaver, and Butler counties, our membership ranges from sole proprietors to large corporations, nonprofit organizations, students, and individuals who are interested in supporting our business community.

The PNRC offers a variety of programs, events, and services that support businesses, non-profits, and entrepreneurs by connecting them to valuable resources that support a thriving business environment. Through strategic initiatives and partnerships, we play a vital role in shaping the region’s economic landscape and fostering a flourishing community.

Mission Statement: On behalf of its members, the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber creates new opportunities for business growth through networking, cooperation, advocacy, and education.

Position Overview: The President will be at the forefront of representing and promoting the PNRC’s mission and vision. Collaborating closely with the Board of Directors, the President is accountable for planning, developing, and managing programs and projects that drive the PNRC’s objectives forward. The President ensures the PNRC’s success in meeting its community and economic development, membership services, marketing, education, workforce development, and program goals.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: In collaboration with the Board of Directors, assists, develops, and executes annual objectives and long-term strategic plans in alignment with the PNRC’s mission and vision, to drive innovation and growth.

Asset Management: Develops and executes fundraising strategies that further the mission and financial resources of the PNRC. Responsible for the financial health of the organization, including revenue generation and expense management, in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices.

Membership Development: Oversee and implement plans for membership recruitment, retention, and engagement.

Collaboration and Partnerships: Forge strategic partnerships and collaborations with other organizations, businesses, and institutions to enhance the PNRC’s impact and reach.

Events & Program Management: Coordinate the planning and execution of events and programs.

Marketing and Communications: Presides over the PNRC’s marketing and communication strategies, to ensure consistent branding and effective promotion of chamber programs and services.

Talent Management: Provide leadership and direction to PNRC staff and volunteers to achieve annual goals in a collaborative manner.

Regional Representation: Serve as the primary liaison to represent the PNRC’s interests to local, state, and regional stakeholders.

Miscellaneous: Other job responsibilities as needed to fulfill the objectives of the organization.

Qualifications

· 7-10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role

· Bachelor’s degree and/or commensurate experience

· Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage diverse stakeholders

· Exceptional written and verbal communication

· Strong presentation skills and negotiation abilities

· Proven to be highly motivated, self-directed, results oriented, passionate, and driven in a multi-tasking environment

· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced dynamic environment

· Experience in membership development, fundraising, and financial management

· Knowledge of economic development, public policy, and current events affecting the business community

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range starts from $85,000 per year and up, commensurate with experience. A competitive benefits package is included with this incredible opportunity.
